Vodina

Her eyes looking at me were hope, her smile was happiness; when she was thinking she was a sage, when she was speaking she was a philosopher.
Like a Greek philosopher living in ancient times...

Vodina - The Story of Kaan
The book's preface
In societies where different ethnic groups and cultures live together, there are some truths that are happening secretly but are not wanted to be mentioned much in public.
Mutual exchanges of brides or the acceptance of those with different beliefs into their community are uncommon occurrences.
When the element of religion is added to ethnic composition and culture, it creates a barrier that is difficult to overcome.
Kaan, one of the novel's main protagonists, was born and raised as a member of minority in a multicultural, multi-ethnic and multi-religious society.
He has been experienced some of the difficulties faced by minority members around the world and still does from time to time.
In fact, in Xanthi, the city where he was born and raised, these differences are a part of his everyday life, and he takes them for granted.
When he goes to Thessaloniki to study at university, he encounters a very different environment and as he does not experience the problems of being different in this environment, he forgets that he is a member of a minority.
With the relief of this, he gets rid of the psychology of loser that has been limiting him for years, and for the rest of his life he assumes his true personality, which he has had to suppress since childhood.
When he gets to know Eleni, the happiest period of his life begins.

Vodina - Eleni's Dream
The book's preface
In the first book of the Vodina series, “Vodina - The Story of Kaan”, the story was written from Kaan's point of view and his love affair with Eleni was told from a man's perspective.
In the book “Vodina - Eleni's Dream”, the rest of the story is told from Eleni's point of view and what happened between her and Kaan is analyzed from a woman's perspective.
As in the first book, this one also covers the problems these two experience due to cultural differences, and also draws attention to how time has changed them.
Special emphasis is also placed on Eleni's change after reading Kaan's book.
When Eleni finishes reading this book, she turns to reading her memories in her old diary and the poems Kaan wrote to her, and as she reads these, she remembers the good days of the past again.
After a while, her longing for Kaan begins to deepen, and the fear of never seeing him again further reinforces this.

Loyal Companions from Kırbaş to Reks
The book's preface
Recently, we have begun to treat our pets as members of our family and see them as an important part of our lives. We have learned to live with them and shape our lives around them.
"Throughout human history, they have always been important to us; however, they were incomparably more distant from us than they are today. We used them only for our own benefit, and when we appealed to their friendship, it was again for the purpose of alleviating our own loneliness.
In this story, I tried to examine the changing conditions and our perspective on our dear friends from the past to the present.
While on one hand I tried to convey Reks, who is a good example of today's culture, and his loyalty to his old friend, on the other hand I wanted to address the highly protective aspect of Kırbaş, a guard dog of a house, and touch on how our approach to our pets has changed over the years.
While conveying these, I aimed to bring the subject to a different perspective by talking about the difficulties faced by these animals and certain professional groups during the COVID-19 pandemic.
